We’re Hiring an Operation Excellence Director

At Atlantic Gate, we believe data is more than reporting—it’s a strategic driver of performance, efficiency, and growth across global freight forwarding operations.

We are looking for an Operation Excellence Director to lead our data and analytics vision, enabling smarter decisions, stronger margins, and end-to-end visibility across our Ocean, Air, Road, and Customs operations.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role at the heart of our global transformation journey, working in close collaboration with our IT Director to shape and deliver an integrated technology and data strategy.

As Operation Excellence Director, you will:

• Build end-to-end visibility across the shipment lifecycle
  - Deliver integrated, real-time insights from booking through execution to invoicing, enabling full operational transparency
• Drive margin transparency and profitability
  - Leverage advanced analytics to optimize pricing, costing, and identify revenue leakage and cost‑saving opportunities
• Enable real‑time, data‑driven decisions
  - Equip leadership and operational teams with actionable insights to improve speed, accuracy, and performance
• Lead digital transformation initiatives
  - Champion automation, system integration, and innovative data solutions to modernize freight forwarding operations
• Establish global KPI frameworks
  - Define, standardize, and govern performance metrics across regions to ensure consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement

You will shape and evolve a modern, integrated data landscape:

• Power BI & Microsoft Fabric for advanced analytics and executive dashboards
• Power Automate & Power Apps to digitize and streamline operations
• SQL Server & data architecture built for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Seamless integration of: TMS platforms (e.g., Cargo Wise) - ERP / Finance systems - WMS solutions
  - External carrier, customer, and tracking platforms

You will lead the development and adoption of AI‑powered analytics and automation across Atlantic Gate, including:

• Use AI and machine learning to identify margin leakage, pricing anomalies, cost‑saving opportunities, and operational risks
• Develop predictive analytics for volume forecasting, profitability, customer behavior, and trade‑lane performance
• Introduce AI‑assisted reporting, dashboards, and Copilot tools to accelerate decision‑making
• Automate repetitive data analysis and operational workflows using Power Automate, Power Apps, and AI agents
• Work with IT and business teams to ensure AI solutions are practical, scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs

• Direct influence on global operational performance and profitability

We’re seeking a leader who combines freight forwarding expertise with strong data & technology capabilities:

• Deep knowledge of freight forwarding operations (Ocean & Air freight, customs, documentation, pricing, invoicing, margin control)
• Proven experience in Operation Excellence leadership with measurable impact
• Strong expertise in:
  Power BI, SQL, and data modeling
  - System integration across TMS / ERP / WMS ecosystems
  - Automation and digital transformation
• Ability to translate operational challenges into scalable, data‑driven solutions
• Strong leadership and stakeholder influence across business and IT

• Full transparency across shipments, operations, and financial performance
• Improved gross margins through better cost and revenue control
• Reduced manual effort via automation and standardized processes
• Strong adoption of BI tools across global teams
• High‑quality, trusted data supporting strategic decision‑making
