Job Description & How to Apply Below
We are looking for a highly experienced Kubernetes Tech Lead for one of our clients, a leading international organization based in Geneva.
The role involves owning, evolving, and operating a large-scale Kubernetes platform supporting mission-critical digital services and advanced technology workloads in complex, high-availability environments.
As the technical backbone of the Kubernetes platform, you will define infrastructure standards, drive best practices, and collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure reliable and scalable workload execution across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities- Own the full lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters (architecture, provisioning, upgrades, capacity planning, decommissioning) across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Define and enforce cluster architecture standards, including multi-tenancy, RBAC, network segmentation, and pod security policies.
- Lead cluster networking design and operations (CNI: Calico, Cilium), ingress, and DNS management.
- Design and manage storage architectures (CSI, Ceph, Longhorn, Stateful Sets, backup/restore strategies).
- Build and maintain Git Ops pipelines using ArgoCD for deployment and cluster configuration.
- Operate observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Open Telemetry).
- Support AI/ML workloads including GPU scheduling (NVIDIA device plugin, MIG), batch processing (Argo Workflows, Kubeflow), and inference services.
- Collaborate with Dev Ops, software engineering, and AI/ML teams on diverse workloads (applications, data pipelines, AI services).
- Define Kubernetes best practices, runbooks, and training across engineering teams.
- Stay up to date with Kubernetes ecosystem technologies and industry standards.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS) strongly preferred.
- 7+ years in infrastructure/platform engineering.
- At least 4 years of hands-on Kubernetes production experience.
- Experience with multi-cluster, multi-cloud, or hybrid environments at scale.
- Strong experience with zero-downtime upgrades and large-scale migrations.
- Knowledge of databases on Kubernetes (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL) is a plus.
- Open-source contributions (CNCF ecosystem) are an asset.
- Experience in complex international environments is a plus.
- Strong Kubernetes architecture knowledge (control plane, networking, storage, security, observability).
- Hands-on experience with Git Ops (ArgoCD, Helm, Kustomize).
- Proficiency in Go or Python for platform tooling.
- Experience with API design and system integration.
- Familiarity with GPU workloads for AI/ML use cases.
- Strong understanding of data privacy and security standards.
