Role OverviewSandmark is currently looking for an experienced Platform Manager, coming from the news & media space, to take ownership of the health, performance and evolution of Sandmark’s media platform. This person will drive the front‑end/internal user journeys, new feature implementation and strategic guidance. Your work will centralize feedback from internal & external user channels to address friction points and optimise the platform for high growth and scalability.
This role is part of the product/marketing team and serves internal clients, such as editorial, research, and commercial teams and external end‑users.

Key Responsibilities Platform Quality & Performance- Ensure the Sandmark platform delivers high levels of performance, functionality, and accessibility across devices for both internal and external users.
- Create and maintain monitoring and alerts on web metrics related to technical SEO – Core Web Vitals, load speed, errors, caching issues, etc.
- Establish and maintain monitoring and alerts on publishing and editor capabilities for internal users.
- Proactively identify and raise bugs, regressions, etc. to technical teams while ensuring stakeholder communication to ensure business continuity.
- Track and report on platform KPIs (traffic, engagement, time on site, articles read, indexing health, etc.).
- Own the creation and management of non‑editorial pages on the website, including landing pages, evergreen content section, corporate content & navigation.
- Ensure that the site implements best practices for structure, metadata and discoverability (for SEO & AEO).
- Analyse customer needs and market trends to inform product development and continuously refine service offerings.
- Coordinate with UI/UX team & technical teams to ensure that new features, modules, and capabilities needed for the website are implemented, and follow‑through delivery.
- Act as the central point for all requests for enhancements and issues related to the Sandmark platform.
- Create a methodical, structured process for gathering, prioritizing, tracking requests and providing feedback and timings.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable requests for the technical teams.
- Provide feedback to the organization regarding website KPIs, opportunities for enhancements, and friction points.
- Coordinate with technical teams (internal & agency) to ensure that sprint backlogs & roadmaps align with business priorities.
- Participate in releases in full testing of new features, site updates and bug fixes.
- Align with technical teams to ensure that product documentation is up-to-date (external product information, platform handbooks, etc.).
- Inform stakeholders on technical progress, blockers and timelines in a regular manner. Document and track open/known issues until resolution.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience managing CMS platforms (Drupal, Word Press, headless CMS).
- Experience in news media, publishing, or with a content‑driven digital organization.
- Experience in setting up alerts, notifications and monitoring for site performance (Search Console, GA4, Cloudflare, etc).
- Knowledge of SEO and AEO best practices, and the ability to implement and measure results.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and APIs – ability to communicate with developers and technical teams.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Direct, transparent communication style: flags problems early and proposes practical solutions.

- Strong organisational skills: manages multiple work streams while effectively prioritising competing demands.

- Experience working in a startup environment, with a strong understanding of the processes and best practices that support growth and scaling.
- Understanding of the digital asset and cryptocurrency industry, including related technologies and market trends.
- Appreciation of user‑centred design principles and the ability to champion features and improvements that address user needs.
