In a few wordsFor one of our clients, a leading player in the aviation and Air Traffic Management (ATM) sector, we are looking for an experienced System Integration & Test Engineer to join their Integration Verification & Validation (IV&V) team.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development, validation, and continuous improvement of complex, safety-critical systems. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and operational readiness of integrated solutions through comprehensive testing and verification activities.
Working closely with development, operations, and engineering teams, you will help deliver high-quality systems while promoting best practices in test management and automation.
Missions- Design and execute integration, system, and end-to-end tests covering interactions between software, hardware, and external interfaces.
- Develop, maintain, and improve automated test suites for both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Validate performance, resilience, reliability, failover capabilities, and overall system behaviour.
- Investigate defects, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive issue resolution.
- Define and implement test strategies, verification plans, and risk-based testing approaches.
- Ensure adequate test coverage, requirements traceability, and mitigation of potential quality risks.
- Coordinate testing activities and communicate progress, results, and risks to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the adoption of testing best practices, methodologies, and quality standards.
- Support the continuous improvement of testing processes, automation frameworks, and overall testing maturity.
- 8+ years of experience in system integration, verification & validation, and testing within complex environments.
- Strong expertise in test automation (Squish, JMeter or equivalent) and scripting/development using Python, Java, or similar technologies.
- Solid background in defining test strategies, verification plans, and risk-based testing approaches.
- Good understanding of system integration, APIs, networking, and distributed architectures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in safety-critical systems is highly appreciated; ATM domain knowledge and familiarity with standards such as ISO 15288, ED-153, ED-109, or DO-178C are strong assets.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Comfortable working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments.
- Excellent communication skills, collaborative mindset, and proactive approach.
- Fluent in English and French;
German is an advantage.
