The Systems Engineer (Lead) is a contract, on‑site role based in Geneva, responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex systems supporting Kiya.ai’s digital solutions. This role includes overseeing system architecture, coordinating configuration and deployment activities, and ensuring system performance, reliability, and security across environments. The Systems Engineer (Lead) will manage incident resolution, drive root‑cause analysis, and guide troubleshooting efforts in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
Daily responsibilities involve supervising system administration tasks, providing advanced technical support, documenting processes and standards, and mentoring other engineers to ensure best practices are followed. The role also requires close interaction with stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong Systems Engineering and Systems Design skills to lead architecture, integration, and optimization of complex, distributed systems.
- Proficiency in System Administration and Technical Support to manage servers, networks, and applications, and to resolve advanced technical issues.
- Demonstrated ability in Troubleshooting to perform diagnostics, root‑cause analysis, and performance tuning across multiple platforms.
- Experience with infrastructure technologies (e.g., Linux/Windows servers, virtualization, cloud platforms), networking fundamentals, and security best practices.
- Proven track record in leading technical teams, coordinating projects, and collaborating with stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong documentation, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
- Experience in financial services or regulated industries, and familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, is an advantage.
