We are looking for a Helpdesk Technician based in the Geneva office to serve as the first point of contact for all IT‑related requests and incidents raised by end users. Operating within the IT department and under the daily supervision of the Senior IT Support and System Administration, this role ensures smooth day‑to‑day IT operations by providing timely and effective technical support across hardware, software, and mobile platforms.
The Helpdesk Technician also manages user accounts and permissions in both on‑premise and Microsoft 365 environments, contributes to IT asset lifecycle management, and supports the deployment and configuration of new end‑user IT equipment. The role requires a proactive and service‑oriented mindset to meet the evolving needs of a dynamic, international work environment (English speaking mandatory).
- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues (laptops, desktops, peripherals) for Geneva office users
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows OS and standard business applications
- Perform PC imaging and deployment for new hires and hardware replacements
- Manage hardware inventory and coordinate repair or replacement as needed
- Enroll, configure, and troubleshoot devices through the Intune platform
- Assist users with email, 2FA authenticator, and application setup on mobile devices
- Ensure compliance with security policies on all managed mobile endpoints as well as PC desktops
- Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts in Active Directory and Azure AD
- Manage group memberships, shared mailboxes, distribution lists
- Ensure proper access rights in line with the company's security and onboarding/offboarding policies
- Support SharePoint, One Drive, and Teams workspace provisioning and access management
- Act as first point of contact for all IT incidents and service requests
- Perform general troubleshooting on PCs, peripherals, printers, and connectivity issues
- Escalate unresolved issues to the Senior IT Support or relevant technical team with proper information
- Maintain an up‑to‑date knowledge base of recurring issues and solutions – Sharepoint Helpdesk IT Department
- Assist with routine system administration tasks as directed by the Senior IT Support
- Support patch management and software update deployment on endpoints
- Monitor backup notification emails
- Contribute to IT asset tracking and lifecycle documentation
- Prepare and configure workstations for new employees according to the standard IT setup checklist on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
- Deliver onboarding IT induction to new users, covering tools, policies, and basic usage guidelines
- Coordinate with HR and Head of Department for timely equipment readiness on first day of employment
- Associate degree or equivalent technical qualification in Information Technology or a related field (e.g. BTS Informatique, CFC Informaticien or Diplôme Technicien ES in Switzerland).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT helpdesk or end‑user support role, ideally in a corporate environment.
- Good level of English (written and spoken) mandatory. French is a strong asset given the Geneva office environment.
- Solid knowledge of Windows OS environments (Windows 10/11) and PC hardware troubleshooting
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, Intune)
- Experience with Active Directory / Azure AD for user and permission management
- Familiarity with mobile device management (iOS) on Intune
- Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Ability to image, configure and deploy new workstations
- Strong customer service and communication skills in multicultural environment
- Familiarity with developer tools such as Claude Code, VS Code, and Python is a strong plus
