I. Objective of the assignmentThe objective of this assignment is to provide User Training, Customer Support and Sequence Services Development Delivery and Control for a WIPO BRIDGE Enhancement Project Phase to the WIPO BRIDGE Product Owner for the further enhancement and exploration of sequence services.
The Consultant will support controlled delivery of further exploration and development, including training, mentoring and customer journey coordination; training coordination for test customer groups and other ongoing development activities (ODAs); integrated planning and execution control; work package/stakeholder consultations and coordination; CMS/LMS and learning-environment design and management; data collection for user feedback and market research; reporting; risk, issue, change and deliverable control; stakeholder liaison;
and material for PRR, DBC and Stage Gate readiness.
The Consultant will deliver timebound work packages through agreed project management and documentation tools. Outputs shall be measurable, accepted by WIPO and will include the following areas:
1) User training and customer journey of WIPO BRIDGE user groups, lead customer groups (LCG), partnerships, data collection cycles and ODAs- Two training cycle logistics, training and evidence pack delivered - by September 1, 2026.
- LCG/test user group participants, trainers, mentors and coach trackers of four training cycles, including collected user feedback data - by December 15, 2026, updated by January 31, 2027.
- LCG digital learning environment pack, including spaces, workflows and filing structure - by September 30, 2026.
- Updated training- and other delivery notes, Lens exercise pack and platform follow-up log - by November 30, 2026, updated by February 28, 2027.
- Training and sequence services readiness and execution control packages, including roadmaps, stage plans, trackers and roles matrix - by August 31, 2026.
- Four status briefs, updated plans and trackers – by August 31, 2026, and monthly thereafter until March 31, 2027.
- Eight project/budget brief, dashboard, risk/issue/dependency log and comment matrix - by August 30, 2026 and thereafter last day of each month for seven months.
- Final progress file, lessons note, follow-on actions and Stage Gate documentation package - by March 31, 2027.
The Consultant will report to the Product Owner of the WIPO BRIDGE platform. In accordance with PRINCE2 principles, the Consultant reports to the Product Owner as the Executive of the sequence services enhancement and exploration for the platform.
IV.Profile Required
Area of Specialization / Expertise:
- at least two years of experience with online training coordination and delivery in the intellectual property or life sciences fields;
- at least six years of progressively responsible intellectual property, life science or other project experience, including digital customer journey delivery, control and management in multi-stakeholder environments;
- planning, scheduling, reporting, tracking, meeting coordination, risk and issue follow up and documentation experience;
- demonstrated coordination of training, capacity building, customer groups, mentoring or customer journey programmes, including trainer/mentor/tutor/coach/expert coordination, session logistics, learning-material workflows, feedback capture and reporting;
- stakeholder management, drafting, organization and communication skills across business, technical, legal, administrative and external interfaces;
Specific Knowledge /
Experience:
6. experience with CMS, LMS and collaboration platforms;
Language: Excellent written and spoken English.
Education: Advanced university degree in law, business administration, education management, international relations or development studies, life sciences, information management or related field.
Desirable: Familiarity with IP, WIPO BRIDGE, The Lens, sequence data, user training, mentoring or related innovation/training ecosystems.
V. Duration of Contract and PaymentThe contract is expected to start as soon as possible and run until March 31, 2027 for a full-time activity rate (100%), with the possibility of extension subject to funding and performance, up to a maximum of two years at 100% activity rate.
