The role is responsible for the planning, execution and control of metals operations to meet agreed quality, volume, schedule and cost objectives across global trade flows. The position ensures disciplined coordination among suppliers, logistics providers, inspection agents and internal stakeholders, maintaining full operational traceability and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Support end-to-end execution of refined metals and concentrates trades, including coordinating transport, inspections, pricing, payments and ensuring timely delivery.
- Coordinate with customers, logistics providers, inspection agents, warehouses and internal teams to maintain smooth trade operations.
- Track trade flows and monitor all potential risks associated with contract execution in order to elevate issues or discrepancies to traders and management.
- Assist in reviewing and validating trade documentation, including contracts, bills of lading, letters of credit, invoices and quality certificates.
- Coordinate sampling, quality inspections and certification with inspection agents, document results and support resolution of any quality-related issues.
- Maintain accurate operational records, inventory tracking and shipment reports for internal and audit purposes.
- Support operational and P&L reporting with the relevant internal departments.
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations, internal policies and contractual obligations.
- 2-5 years of experience in metals trading operations, preferably copper, aluminum, battery metals and concentrates.
- Understanding of metals markets, supply chains and logistics.
- Knowledge of trade documentation, shipping processes and quality verification.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CTRM/ERP systems is a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills; able to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Fluent English required, with optional French, Spanish, or Chinese proficiency.
