TILTerminals:
- Our terminals have been selected for their important and strategic locations around the world, including major origin and destination (O&D) and transshipment trade hubs and gateways in Europe, Asia, North America, South America and West Africa.
- Our terminals are positioned at the heart of world trade, with five of the terminals located in the world’s top 20 container ports in terms of throughput (source: Drewry).
- Our terminals are well placed to serve major trade routes and provide access into key mature and developing markets.
Reporting to the Terminal Investment Director, the Terminal Investment Manager is responsible forthe detailed execution and monitoring of business plans for assigned terminals. He/She ensures thatthe terminals operate in compliance with TiL standards and provides detailed financial and operational analyses to support strategic decision-making. Thisrole requires strong analytical, operational, and stakeholder management skills, with regular travel to terminals within the portfolio.
This full-time position is based in our Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland and the successful candidate is expected to travel frequently to visit the terminals that fall within his/her portfolio.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement terminal business plans in line with strategic objectives.
- Monitor daily operational and financial performance of assigned terminals.
- Prepare analyses,performance reports, and recommendations for Deputy and Director.
- Collaborate with terminal management and joint venture partners to resolve operational or financial issues.
- Support budgeting,forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
- Contribute to process improvements and enhancements in reporting and performance tracking.
- Travel to terminalsasrequiredto oversee operations, buildandmaintainrelationships with key stakeholders.
- Financial degree or previous experience in a financial roles
- 3-5 yearsofexperience in a senior management role in the container terminal industry.
- Previousexperiencein a managementpositionofa container terminal isdesired.
- Verygoodknowledge of the stakeholders of the containerterminal industry.
- Solidunderstandingof containerterminaloperationsandthemaritime/shipping industry.
- Knowledgeoffinancialandoperationalperformancemetricsforterminals.
- Experience with business planning and investment evaluation.
- Proficiency in English;additionallanguagesa plus.
- Stronganalyticalandproblem-solving skills.
- Effectivecommunicationand stakeholdermanagementabilities.
- Detail-oriented,results-driven, and organized.
- Abilityto workindependentlyand handlemultiplepriorities.
- Flexibilityandwillingnesstotravelinternationally.
