Join the FIA and play a key role in shaping the future of Karting worldwide, from grassroots participation to elite international competition.

As Head of Karting, you will lead the FIA's global Karting strategy, oversee the administration of the Commission Internationale de Karting (CIK), and manage the FIA Karting Championships. Working closely with the CIK President, FIA leadership, ASNs, organisers, service providers, teams, and competitors, you will drive initiatives that strengthen participation, inclusion, sustainability, and sporting excellence across the discipline.

Based in Geneva within the Circuit Sport Department, you will lead a multidisciplinary team and contribute directly to the development of one of motor sport's most important pathways to professional racing.

You will report directly to the Head of Mass Participation Disciplines & Activities.

MISSION SAND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic development of Karting and participation growth
  • Define and implement the FIA Karting strategy in collaboration with the CIK President, the Head of Mass Participation Disciplines & Activities and FIA Management.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at growing participation at all levels of Karting, supporting programmes such as Inclusive Karting, the Global Karting Plan and Global Kart.
  • Promote grassroots and Arrive & Drive activities through collaboration with ASNs and FIA stakeholders.
  • Oversee the continued deployment of the International Karting Ranking (IKR), support National Karting Rankings (NKR) initiatives and coordinate the FIA Karting Shootout.
  • Drive sustainability, inclusion and development projects that strengthen the global Karting ecosystem.
Administration of the Commission Internationale de Karting (CIK)
  • Lead the administration of the Commission Internationale de Karting (CIK), including the coordination of meetings, working groups and regulatory activities.
  • Oversee the preparation of proposals, reports and documentation for FIA governing bodies and leadership.
  • Supervise the update, publication and implementation of FIA Karting regulations and related communications.
  • Act as the FIA's principal liaison with ASNs, Karting stakeholders and partner organisations worldwide.
Administrative and regulatory management of the FIA Karting Championships (including KEC and Shootout)
  • Oversee the planning, budgeting and regulatory management of FIA Karting Championships and related events.
  • Manage relationships with Championship Service Providers, organisers, officials, suppliers, teams and competitors.
  • Supervise tender processes, contractual matters and operational performance of external partners.
  • Support the continuous improvement, attractiveness and long-term development of FIA Karting Championships.
Karting Team Management
  • Lead, develop and support the Karting team, ensuring clear objectives, effective collaboration and high-quality delivery.
  • Manage departmental budgets, resources and operational planning.
  • Promote efficient working methods and cross-functional collaboration with FIA departments, including Technical Operations & R&D, Safety & Medical, Commercial, Communications, Digital Technology and Regulatory & Governance.
PROFILE:
  • University degree in Business, Engineering, Sports Management or a related field.
  • 10 to 15 years of professional experience in motor sport, with significant exposure to Karting and/or Single-Seater disciplines. Experience with in a sporting federation, ASN, championship organiser, promoter or manufacturer would be an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of the international Karting ecosystem and its key stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role and in managing complex stakeholder environments.
  • Strong understanding of sporting regulations, championship operations and governance processes.
  • Strategic mindset combined with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English is required. Additional languages are considered an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
  • Willingness to be based in Geneva and to travel internationally on a regular basis.
