You will take part in the fabrication and assembly of a wide range of electronic and opto-electronic test systems used to evaluate component performance.

Using various machines in our mechanical workshop (CNC routers, milling machines, lathes, drill presses, etc.), you will manufacture parts to support the activities of the ESE group.

You will also contribute to building wiring harnesses that connect devices to test systems, including for use in demanding environments such as radiation test facilities. In addition, you will assist in assembling and testing large-scale setups.

• You are a national of aCERN Member State or Associate Member State . Currently, we cannot consider applications from Pakistani and Lithuanian nationals for positions with a 2026 start date, as the ceiling defined under Article II.5 of the Associate Membership Agreement has been reached.
• By the Final date to receive applications, you have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation in a technical or administrative field and your highest educational qualification is a general secondary education diploma or a shorter non-university degree. You can't hold a bachelor's degree, master's degree or PhD.
• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
