Intern in Organic Synthesis in Fragrance Industry

Work Location:

Meyrin or La Plaine, Geneva, Switzerland

Internship: 6 months, starting September 2026

• Work in the industrial chemical lab.
• Monitor processes, analyze reaction intermediates and products using GC, HPLC, NMR.
• Isolate and purify intermediates and final products via extraction, distillation, crystallization, and chromatography.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and set up new facilities.
• Record detailed experimental data in an electronic laboratory notebook.
• Follow SHE rules and good laboratory practices.

• Student majoring in Master of Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Good knowledge of organic chemistry and synthesis.
• Basic knowledge of analytical tools (NMR, MS, GC) and interpretation for structure elucidation.
• Capable of working under direct supervision or independently, with strong communication skills.
• Rigorous, attention to detail, respect for good laboratory practices and SHE rules.
• Interest in working in a chemical lab and learning new skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and chemistry‑specific software.
• Fluent in French and/or English.

• Experience in fundamental and applied organic chemistry research in an industrial setting.
