Software Engineer, Java Developer

We are looking for an experienced Java Software Engineer to join an exciting project in the Air Traffic Management (ATM) sector.

You will contribute to the modernization of a safety-critical air traffic surveillance system, transforming an existing platform into a modern service-oriented architecture.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-availability software where reliability, performance and quality are essential.

• Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Java.
• Contribute to the modernization of legacy systems and the development of service-oriented architectures.
• Implement automated testing practices using TDD, BDD and Cucumber.
• Translate operational requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in software verification, validation and quality assurance activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an Agile environment.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring and Maven
  .
• Good knowledge of Linux, networking and distributed systems
  .
• Experience working in safety-critical or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with software testing, requirements engineering and V&V activities.

• Experience in Air Traffic Management (ATM), Air Traffic Control (ATC) or aviation systems.
• Knowledge of Netty, messaging systems or low-level network communication.
• Experience with Cucumber and automated testing frameworks.
• Exposure to software certification and compliance processes.
