R&D Quality Assurance Specialist​/Officer

Experteer Overview  In this role, you will lead quality control across ABB’s global Process Control Platform R&D, shaping how development processes meet standards. You’ll work with development teams to implement the Quality Management System and drive data‑driven quality improvements. You’ll perform audits and keep stakeholders informed, training and guiding the organization toward consistent quality. This is a hands‑on, cross‑functional position with a clear impact on product quality and project success.
Retribuzione / Benefits   Manage and maintain R&D processes to ensure consistent ways of working and reporting
Ensure adherence to mandatory processes, procedures, and standards
Monitor product and system quality by collecting data and tracking KPIs
Support development teams in applying the Quality Management System and QA activities
Conduct audits, reviews, and random sampling to verify quality and process compliance
Assist in setting Quality Goals for development and system streams
Act as independent auditor of quality against release criteria and provide feedback
Collaborate with the continuous improvement team on improvement projects
Coach and train the organization and teams in quality practices
Responsabilità   Degree in Science or Engineering in a technically relevant field
At least 5 years of professional experience in quality management, verification, testing, operational excellence or similar
Knowledge and experience of software development and/or hardware solutions development
Fluency in English
Self‑motivation, curiosity and willingness to learn
Structured, analytical, result‑oriented with ability to manage parallel activities
Collaborative, solutions‑oriented mindset with strong communication
Facilitator and moderator skills for leading and influencing stakeholders
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure Dev Ops and Power
