* Position Overview:
We are seeking a fully qualified and experienced Teacher of Religious Education to join our motivated and dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, a commitment to the holistic education of children and will be an excellent team player committed to the ethos, values and aims of the school.
* A practicing Catholic is strongly preferred*
* Qualifications and
Experience:
• A recognised degree in RE or equivalent from an accredited university.
• PGCE, QTS, or other internationally recognised teaching qualification.
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience across Key Stages 3 – 5, with proven success in I/GCSE and A-Level examinations.
Experience with Cambridge International IGCSE and A-Level is highly desirable.
• Previous leadership or coordination experience within an English department would be advantageous.
• Demonstrated excellence in classroom practice in the subject, preferably externally verified. Any previous experience in teaching another subject should be included in the application.
• Up-to-date knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide pastoral, academic, and behavioural support to students.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and utilise formal assessment processes.
• Support parents with referrals to external agencies as needed.
• Collaborate with parents, staff, and students on Individual Education Plans.
• Communicate effectively with parents through reports and meetings.
• Participate in and lead extra-curricular activities.
Salary and Benefits :
• Competitive salary ranging from CI $55,000 to CI $65,500 per annum, tax-free, based on experience and qualifications (Under review and not including any department responsibility which may also be awarded to the successful candidate).

**** To work in the Caymans, ministry approval is required. Due to the cost of living, the Ministry is unlikely to approve teachers who have more than 1 dependent child per teacher (eg 2 for a teaching couple is ok if both are employed) unless the spouse already has a job.
