Job title: Senior Accountant

Salary: Market-related

Job Duties:

• Manage full accounting function, including general ledger, journals, and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements
• Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
• Coordinate audits and liaise with auditors, SARS, and external stakeholders
• Review VAT, PAYE, and other statutory submissions
• Provide financial guidance to management and support strategic decision-making
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
• Maintain and improve financial controls and processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
• Professional qualification (SAIPA / SAICA / CIMA) – advantageous
• 5+ years’ accounting experience in a senior or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of South African tax and accounting legislation
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage, Pastel, Xero)
• Proven experience preparing financial statements and management reports
