Senior Trainee: Compilation

Overview

• Assist in managing and maintaining a portfolio of clients across various industries.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients.
• Prepare annual financial statements and supporting working papers.
• Compile financial information in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Ensure financial statements are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure assignments comply with firm policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, and relevant legislation.
• Assist with the training and development of junior staff.
• Manage multiple assignments and competing deadlines.
• Ensure work is completed within budgeted hours and agreed timelines.

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Currently completing or recently completed a recognised accounting training contract.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of IFRS and/or IFRS for SMEs.
• Sound understanding of VAT and Income Tax legislation.
• Experience preparing annual financial statements and supporting working papers.
• Ability to manage client portfolios effectively.
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (written and verbal).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
