Invoice Clerk

Tax Consulting South Africa is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Invoice Clerk to join our team in George. You will be responsible for preparing and processing client invoices, maintaining accurate billing records and following up on outstanding information to ensure invoices are issued on time.

The ideal candidate takes pride in getting the details right, communicates professionally and follows through on tasks. You should be comfortable managing competing deadlines and taking initiative to resolve billing queries.

• Prepare, capture and issue client invoices accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Check billing instructions, client details and supporting documents before processing invoices.
• Ensure invoices reflect approved fees and services rendered.
• Follow up with internal teams on outstanding billing information and approvals.
• Respond to invoice queries and resolve discrepancies with the relevant team members.
• Process approved credit notes and invoice adjustments.
• Maintain complete and organised billing records.
• Assist with billing reconciliations, month-end processes and reporting.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team as required.

• Matric with Mathematics and Accounting.
• A qualification in accounting, bookkeeping or finance would be advantageous.
• Previous experience in invoicing, billing or a similar finance administration role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
