Estimator​/Junior Quantity Surveyor

The Estimator/Junior Quantity Surveyor will assist the Project Manager to ensure that projects are accurately planned and delivered within budget.

Preparing accurate quantity take-offs and submitting timely cost estimates for new construction or refurbishment tenders, as well as cost variations to ongoing projects.

To be successful in this position you must:

• Be able to read construction drawings and quantify materials.
• Be familiar with the format and preparation of a Bill of Quantities.
• Be willing and able to learn quickly.
• Be a team player.
• Have excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Possess the following:

• Associate’s Degree in Building Construction Technology or a related field
• At least one year of experience in a similar role;

The following will be a bonus:

• Have the ability to inspect trends in construction to determine whether your estimates are both reasonable and competitive
• A valid driver’s license
• A Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field
