Foundation Phase Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, a nurturing demeanour, and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children.

Note:

this is a physically challenging role and requires the teacher to stand for large portions of the day, bend, run, sit on the floor, participate in playground activities, and generally play with the children.

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lessons.
• Create a warm, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Assess and monitor children’s progress, providing individualized support and guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure the smooth functioning of the centre.
• Good oral communication skills with pupils and parents;
• Energetic and enthusiastic;
• Able to relate well to young children;
• The ability to love and nurture young children;
• Be a team player

• Matric or equivalent.
• ECD Certificate / Currently studying towards qualification in Education is advantageous.
• Must be proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English
• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the same and/or similar type of position and environment
• Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences.
• First Aid certified would be an advantage
• Police clearance required
