Lead Project Manager - Civil Engineering

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic Lead Project Manager to spearhead critical civil engineering projects in the George area. This senior position requires exceptional leadership to guide projects through all phases, from feasibility studies and design to construction and commissioning. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects meet demanding engineering specifications, environmental standards, and client expectations, while managing complex stakeholder relationships.

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of diverse civil engineering projects , ensuring compliance with all technical and regulatory requirements.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively, identifying and addressing potential risks and deviations proactively.
• Oversee engineering design teams, contractors, and suppliers, fostering collaboration and ensuring quality standards are maintained.
• Conduct site inspections and progress reviews to ensure construction adheres to approved plans and specifications.
• Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and internal teams.
• Champion the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project management , with a strong focus on civil infrastructure.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale public works and infrastructure projects.
• Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of South African civil engineering standards and environmental regulations.
