About the Role

Our client, a key player in the exploration and production segment of the Oil & Gas industry , is seeking a highly skilled Senior Reservoir Engineer to enhance their operations in George . This position is vital for maximizing hydrocarbon recovery from existing fields and evaluating new exploration opportunities. You will be responsible for reservoir characterization, performance analysis, and developing optimized production strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed reservoir characterization using geological and geophysical data, well logs, and core analysis.
  • Develop and maintain dynamic reservoir simulation models to predict future performance and evaluate development scenarios.
  • Perform decline curve analysis, volumetric calculations, and economic evaluations for hydrocarbon reserves.
  • Recommend optimal well placement, completion strategies, and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production engineers to implement integrated field development plans.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and potential partners.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or a related technical discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the Oil & Gas sector .
  • Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, Petrel RE) and data analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of reservoir geology, petrophysics, and fluid properties.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex reservoir data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of technical reporting.
