Banquets and Events Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and creative Banquets and Events Manager to lead their events division in George . This role is crucial for driving revenue and enhancing the reputation of our venue by delivering seamless and memorable events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale conferences. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them from initial consultation through to event execution, ensuring all their needs are met with professionalism and flair.

• Plan, organize, and execute all banquets and special events, ensuring a high standard of service.
• Liaise with clients to understand their event requirements, preferences, and budgets.
• Develop event proposals, contracts, and timelines, managing client expectations effectively.
• Coordinate with various departments, including catering, AV, and front office, to ensure smooth event delivery.
• Oversee on-site event setup, management, and breakdown, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and gather client feedback for continuous improvement.

• Proven experience in event management or banqueting coordination, preferably within a hotel or large venue setting.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation and sales skills, with a proven track record of client relationship management.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
