Junior Customer Engineer – FS

• Provide routine hardware service and remote diagnostic activities under close supervision
• Maintain the configuration management system and configuration management database (CMDB)
• Operate and control installed hardware and software
• Execute tasks and procedures according to agreed service levels and requirements
• Install or remove hardware and software according to supplied instructions, tools, plans, and standards
• Track and check hardware and software items against installation or removal instructions
• Support fellow technicians telephonically using remote tools and customer software packages such as Remedy
• Drive SLA compliance

• NQF 4:
  Grade 12
• National Diploma listed under minimum qualifications
• Minimum 2 years’ experience attending to and installing hardware solutions within the Retail Environment
• CompTIA certification, MCSA or MCSE, Linux LPIC 1 or 2, Certified Linux Administrator, or CompTIA Linux+ certifications listed
• Required to travel locally
• Drivers Licence and Reliable Vehicle — both required
• Ability to work extended/long hours as and when required

Demonstrates expertise in hardware installation and maintenance, with a strong focus on configuration management and service level agreement (SLA) compliance. Proficient in using remote diagnostic tools and customer software packages to support technical operations.
