Lead DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Dev Ops Engineer to spearhead their infrastructure and deployment strategies in George . This pivotal role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our client's CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring systems. You will be instrumental in fostering a culture of automation, reliability, and continuous improvement across the engineering organization, ensuring seamless integration between development and operations.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in cloud technologies and a proven ability to lead and mentor a team, driving operational excellence in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS or Azure.
• Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate application builds, testing, and deployments.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
• Lead and mentor a team of Dev Ops engineers, fostering best practices and technical growth.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure the scalability, security, and operability of applications.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Dev Ops or related IT infrastructure roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Power Shell) and infrastructure automation tools.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts , security best practices, and monitoring tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
