Job Duties Stock Control- Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock (e.g., fibre cables, splicing kits, tools, ONTs).
- Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP or stock management systems.
- Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure secure storage, proper labelling, and correct issuing of materials to teams.
- Forecast stock needs based on project schedules and maintenance requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers and procurement teams for reordering and delivery coordination.
- Maintain up-to-date vehicle records including licenses, insurance, and servicing schedules.
- Coordinate routine vehicle servicing, repairs, and inspections.
- Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and vehicle tracking via telematics systems.
- Ensure driver logbooks are maintained and report irregularities or misuse.
- Assist with driver allocation and scheduling during high-demand operational periods.
- Handle accident reports and insurance claims where necessary.
- Matric or equivalent (tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Fleet Management is a plus).
- 2–3 years’ experience in stock control and/or fleet administration.
- Experience in the fibre, telecoms, or infrastructure industry preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, inventory/fleet systems, or ERP software.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of basic mechanical and network deployment components is advantageous.
