We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced intensive care registered nurse to join our supportive and dynamic intensive care team. The Intensive Care Unit is open Wednesday – Friday and we currently offer a self-roster pattern so nurses can enjoy a genuine family/work/life balance.

When you join our team you will be professionally accountable for the exceptional quality nursing management of patients and ensuring the environment is safe and conducive to the wellbeing of patients, their whānau, staff and visitors.

This is a fixed term part time (0.6 FTE Wednesday - Friday) role to cover parental leave through to the end of January 2027.

You must have experience in intensive care (cardiothoracic intensive care experience preferrable) and a passion for excellent patient care and clinical expertise. You will also:

• Have excellent supportive, engaging and positive team skills
• Demonstration of a commitment to professional practice, and professional and personal development
• Current Registration
• Be an excellent communicator, facilitator and advocate for patients
• Be able to work with all our Hospital teams in all aspects of our service
• Actively seek opportunities for relationship, practice and service development
• Have the initiative and ability to contribute to and support best practice standards.
