Research Scientist - Drug Discovery

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Research Scientist to contribute to their groundbreaking drug discovery programs in George . This role is crucial for identifying and validating novel therapeutic targets and advancing potential drug candidates from early discovery through preclinical development. You will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of scientists, contributing your expertise in molecular biology, pharmacology, or a related field.

• Design and execute in vitro and in vivo experiments to assess the efficacy and safety of novel drug candidates.
• Utilize advanced techniques in molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry to explore disease mechanisms and therapeutic interventions.
• Analyze complex experimental data, interpret results, and present findings clearly to project teams and senior management.
• Contribute to the development of new assays and screening platforms for high-throughput drug discovery.
• Collaborate effectively with chemists, pharmacologists, and other scientists to drive project progression.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive laboratory notebooks and contribute to scientific publications and patent applications.

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life science discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in drug discovery or a relevant research area, with a strong publication record.
• Proficiency in a range of experimental techniques and biological assays pertinent to pharmaceutical research.
• Experience with in vivo models and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD ) studies is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced research environment.
