Postdoctoral Researcher - Microbiology

Our client is looking for a dedicated Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to groundbreaking work in microbiology within their state-of-the-art facilities in George . This hybrid role combines critical on-site laboratory work with the flexibility of remote data analysis and manuscript preparation. You will investigate microbial pathogenesis, host-pathogen interactions, and explore novel antimicrobial strategies. The role is designed for an individual with a strong theoretical background and practical laboratory skills in microbial genetics, molecular biology, and immunology, contributing to a dynamic research environment focused on infectious diseases and microbial ecology.

• Design and conduct experiments to elucidate microbial mechanisms of infection and host immune responses.
• Isolate, culture, and characterize various microbial species using standard microbiological techniques.
• Perform molecular biology techniques such as PCR, DNA sequencing, and gene expression analysis.
• Analyze experimental data, prepare reports, and present findings at lab meetings and scientific conferences.
• Contribute to the writing of research publications and grant proposals.

• Ph.D. in Microbiology , Molecular Biology, Immunology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience in microbial cultivation, identification, and genetic manipulation.
• Proficiency in common molecular biology techniques and data analysis software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a laboratory setting, with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent scientific writing and communication skills, with a publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
