About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Logistics and Fleet Driver to manage the transportation of goods within the George region and beyond. This role is essential for maintaining our supply chain’s integrity and ensuring customer satisfaction through reliable delivery services. The successful candidate will operate commercial vehicles, manage fleet logistics, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our distribution network.

• Safely operate commercial vehicles for long-haul and local deliveries.
• Manage and maintain a log of vehicle maintenance and service schedules.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, considering traffic and delivery deadlines.
• Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Adhere to all transportation regulations and company policies.

• Valid Code 14 (EC1) driver’s license with a valid PDP.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial or long-haul driver.
• Demonstrated knowledge of fleet management principles and vehicle maintenance.
• Proficiency in using GPS navigation and route planning software.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
• A history of safe driving and adherence to transportation laws.
