About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and reliable Delivery Van Driver to manage local deliveries and collections within the George area. This role is integral to our client's supply chain operations, ensuring that goods reach their destinations efficiently and in perfect condition. You will be the face of the company to many customers, requiring a professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.

The position demands an understanding of logistical operations within the Western Cape, focusing on efficiency and punctuality while operating a company van.

• Operate a light commercial delivery van to transport goods within the George region.
• Plan optimal routes for deliveries and collections to maximize efficiency and minimize travel time.
• Load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling and securement of items.
• Provide excellent customer service during delivery and pick-up interactions.
• Maintain delivery logs, capture proof of delivery, and report any discrepancies.
• Perform basic vehicle checks, ensuring the van is clean and in good working order.

• Valid Code 10 (C1) driver's license with a clear driving record.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or van driver.
• Familiarity with the George and surrounding areas' road networks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
