Warehouse Attendant Job Description

Objective

In collaboration with the Procurement staff, Warehouse team, and under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager and Procurement Director, the Warehouse Attendant is responsible for receiving, storing, and distribution of goods to and from various locations, on and off campus.

• Effective communication with the Procurement Staff, Warehouse Staff, and End Users are necessary.
• Drive the company vehicles, including forklift when necessary.
• Collect goods from local vendors and ports of entry.
• Deliver goods to various destinations on and off campus.
• Assist with the off-loading of containers and stacking of goods in the warehouse.
• Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse.
• Assist with yearly physical inventory count.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Director of Procurement.

• Excellent organizational skills
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate a light goods vehicle & forklift
• Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds
• Willingness to be flexible and take initiative without direct supervision.
• Excellent Team player.

• Valid “B” class driver’s license will be an asset.
• Numerate and literate with the ability to complete basic forms and documents.

• Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds
• Work near to others in tight spaces.
