Our client in George is urgently hiring a hands-on and highly organised Warehouse & Stock Control Supervisor to oversee the daily receiving, storage, issuing, and movement of stock within a fast-paced food retail and hospitality environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong stock control experience who is committed to maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, and upholding high standards of quality and compliance.

Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day warehouse and stock control functions, including receiving and verifying supplier deliveries, processing goods received vouchers (GRVs), stock issues, and inter-branch transfers. The role includes maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts and stocktakes, investigating stock variances, and ensuring effective FIFO and FEFO stock rotation. Additional responsibilities include supervising warehouse assistants, coordinating stock movements, maintaining warehouse hygiene and safety standards, completing supplier collections and deliveries when required, and ensuring all stock movements are accurately documented.

Requirements:
  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • A valid Code 8/EB driver's licence with a good driving record will be advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in warehouse operations, receiving, or stock control.
  • Experience with GRVs, stocktakes, and inventory management systems.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
  • Strong numerical ability and excellent attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and willing to assist with receiving, picking, and loading stock.
  • Experience with in the food retail, FMCG, hospitality, or perishable goods industry will be advantageous.
  • Experience working with Odyssey POS will be advantageous.
