Salary: $45.60 per hour
Employment Type: Temporary Part‑Time

Responsibilities
  • Conduct and/or teach workshops, seminars, and courses as assigned, utilizing effective communication, classroom management, leadership, and teaching techniques.
  • Develop new programs, workshops, seminars, and courses; create syllabi; evaluate programs and revise as needed.
  • Select, maintain, and use instructional materials, supplies, and equipment required for effective teaching.
  • Maintain participant/student records, including intake test results and counseling notes; evaluate and report participants’ progress and attendance; prepare and submit evaluations.
  • Provide objective advisement and tutoring to participants to assist in successful completion of the program.
  • Schedule, post, and maintain office hours to aid participant progress.
  • Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to facilitate routine department operations and achieve departmental goals.
  • Participate in departmental, campus, and college meetings; serve on committees as required.
  • Assist in developing proposal, program budget, public relations, and facilitating routine department operations.
  • Assist with extracurricular client activities as requested.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Knowledge of teaching techniques and methods.
    • Knowledge of relevant subject matter in the discipline/department.
    • Knowledge of counseling skills and techniques.
    • Knowledge of community resources and how to access them.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
    • Ability to develop rapport with students and staff.
    • Ability to present subject matter content and relate to a diverse, multicultural population.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
    • Four (4) years of relevant experience.
