Job DescriptionElwyn seeks a Director of Residential Services to provide supervision and oversight to all group home residential programs including the hiring, scheduling and supervision of residential staff and the coordination of residential, treatment, vocational, psychosocial rehab and personal care services. Oversees the maintenance of clinical records and compliance with state regulations and CARF. Provides liaison with state employees. With other management staff, develops, implements and enforces health and safety, risk management, and asset management policies and procedures in the areas of agency facilities management including outpatient, residential, and consumer housing;
transportation; and communications systems. Serves as a member of the senior professional services team, providing liaison to advisory councils, consumers and family members.
- Schedules and supervises staff. Ensures that all staff understand and carry out individualized treatment within agency policy. Monitors and ensures program compliance with state and local Rules and Regulations and Fellowship Policies and Procedures for the management of the licensed group homes.
- Ensures that treatment and care plans for consumers are developed collaboratively the consumers and carried out as developed.
- Ensure that the PRISM model is integrated into everyday practice and clinical interventions are being provided with each consumer.
- Ensures that the environment is safe, clean and free from hazardous conditions that could adversely affect the quality of life for the consumers in the facility. Coordinates with the property owner/manager to ensure that all maintenance problems are reported and all repairs are made in a timely manner.
- Develops and maintains person centered treatment planning efforts in the licensed group homes.
- Insures that individual treatment team meetings occur in partnership with the consumer and their primary support group.
- Works with the program staff to insure that the consumers have access to the least restrictive level.
- Establishes and implements liaison mechanisms among internal and external treatment units, providers and programs to enhance service offerings and maximize effectiveness, efficiency and financial stability of program offerings.
- Establishes and maintains harmonious relations with internal and external customers, agencies and community organizations. Shows appreciation and respect for consumer's needs, expectations and perspectives. Demonstrates behaviors that reflect an attitude of customer service, responsiveness, and concern.
- Develops treatment protocol that provides empowering consumers to learn self-advocacy, self-determination and illness management and recovery protocols.
- Prepares and maintains timely, accurate, and complete records. Secures, consolidates, and records information on applicable forms, logs, and computer information systems.
- Works with program staff to develop skills training, i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry and personal hygiene, to assist consumers in improving their quality of life.
