Are you eager to assist a client through their Mental Health and Substance Use recovery process in an outpatient therapeutic setting? We are seeking a supervisor to oversee our First Stop DUI program statewide. This person will ensure that supportive, person‑centered counseling services are being provided to individuals in a compassionate way.

• Responsible for reviewing and approving intakes/assessment and ensuring that clients are placed in the correct level of care.
• Conduct and promote staff orientation, training, and development. Direct, supervise, and evaluate staff. Ensure that counselors follow agency policies and procedures.
• Meet with assigned clients to formulate and execute clinical goals.
• Assign clients to counselors / case managers.
• Provide regular and specially requested reports.
• Provide outreach and educational activities in the community.
• Resolve counselor / client conflicts. Promote staff morale and conduct supervision with staff on a weekly basis.
• Participate in weekly treatment team meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

• Knowledge of drug and alcohol treatment clinical practices.
• Knowledge of the population being served and available resources.
• Ability to evaluate and screen clients for appropriate treatment and document the progress of clients.
• May require crisis intervention for emergency situations.
• Skill in establishing rapport with clients.
• Knowledge of supervision practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a focused team.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

• REQUIRED:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field.
• REQUIRED:
  
  3 years’ experience in the substance abuse field and/or mental health.
• REQUIRED:
  
  1 year of supervisory experience.
• Within 1 year, must have obtained certification as CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) if not already certified.
• PREFERRED: CADC, CCDP, LPC, or LCSW.
• PREFERRED: 5 years’ experience in the substance abuse field and/or mental health.

• From $27/hour.
• Commensurate with experience, education, and certification.

• Monday - Friday.
• 7:00 a.m.
  
  - 3:00 p.m.
