This promotional position oversees poultry processing production lines or areas, assisting the department supervisor with daily operations, workforce coordination, and ensuring safety and productivity. The role involves working with raw poultry and maintaining equipment to meet Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) standards. Hours typically range from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, five to six days a week, with overtime as needed.

• Train Operators and Process Tech I associates on equipment setup and operation in Fresh Cut, inspecting equipment for proper function and preparing it for sanitation.
• Oversee blade sharpening programs, ensuring blades are sharp daily, and report issues to the Production Superintendent.
• Monitor and adjust equipment during production, reporting problems to management.
• Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance on various equipment, assisting with modifications or rebuilds to ensure efficiency.
• Coordinate with OEMs for parts, submit purchase requests through Maximo (CMMS), and follow up to prevent downtime. Maintain work areas and complete documentation as required.
• Follow all safety protocols, report unsafe acts or conditions, and communicate shift issues to relevant personnel, including pass-down information.
• Notify supervisors of tardiness or absences at least 2 hours in advance, with no more than 5 occurrences to avoid demotion.

High School Diploma or GED

• Proficiency in English, math, and analytical skills
• Ability to pass a background check

• 4-6 years of relevant experience

Exposure to temperatures between 40-50°F, noise levels of 85-88 dB, iodine at hand wash stations, lighting above 50' candles, and physical ability to lift 80 lbs. Ability to move throughout the department as needed.
