Summary StatementThe incumbent provides nursing services including, but not limited to, direct nursing care, follow‑up assessments, implementing nursing care plans, and coordination of health care services for the residents. The incumbent will clinically supervise and evaluate the care and treatment provided to the residents by the certified nursing assistants and assist CNAs in care and treatments. In addition, the incumbent will have regular contact with residents, families, nursing staff, physicians, dietary, pharmacy, administration, and other ancillary departments of the facility.

Administers treatments as directed.
Takes and records vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration).
Pours, administers, charts and records medications.
Gives prescribed intramuscular and subcutaneous injections and inoculations.
Observes patient behavior and condition and reports changes to appropriate staff.
Records information on patients' charts.
Job Requirement Series – Licensed Practical Nurse IApplicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
Possession of a Delaware Practical Nurse license, Delaware temporary license or multi‑state compact license.

Possession of a Delaware Practical Nursing license or multi‑state compact license.
At least six months experience as a Practical Nurse.

Possession of a Delaware Practical Nursing license or multi‑state compact license.
At least eighteen months experience as a Practical Nurse.

Conditions of HireAll new hires are required to attend an in‑person, statewide mandatory New Employee Orientation on their first day of employment. The session will be held at a designated location in either Kent or New Castle County.
A satisfactory criminal background check is required and must be covered by the applicant, with an estimated cost of $85.00. Pre‑employment drug testing is also required. Additionally, all new hires are required to complete a 2‑Step TB/PPD test, which will be administered on their first day at the facility.
