Storm Project ConsultantThe Estimator is tasked with driving revenue growth by converting leads into signed contracts and maintaining relationships with existing clients. Responsibilities include scheduling homeowner visits, generating leads through various channels, meeting with homeowners to understand their needs, presenting tailored solutions, and completing contracts. Additionally, the Estimator collaborates with team members, liaises with insurance adjusters, and provides feedback for improving revenue opportunities.
Adherence to safety protocols and occasional travel for storm events are also part of the role.
- Maintains and executes a schedule of canvassing and planned visits to homeowners. Works with Brand Ambassadors, Storm Manager, Sales Manager and Sales Schedulers to keep the calendar current and open appointments.
- Generates storm leads and opportunities with cold calling, direct work with project managers for upsells, social media and collaboration with brand ambassadors. Attends home shows and personal networks to identify homeowners who may need products or services.
- Contacts potential customers using information from Brand Ambassadors and sales scheduler, meets with homeowners to discuss needs, inspects the area, and determines exact requirements. Will meet at nights, weekends or holidays as required.
- Present solutions and insurance processes for homes with storm damage, signing storm‑contingency contracts with customers.
- Meets with insurance adjusters, engineers and others to conduct site inspections and answer storm‑damage questions.
- Presents solutions, overcomes objections and works with customers to sign off on G Fedale contracts.
- Completes contracts and proposal forms with specifications, prices and payment terms. Ensures the customer understands that all work must be documented.
- Assists in arranging financing, ensuring customers apply and are approved.
- Provides feedback to Marketing and Production departments on revenue opportunities.
- Submits information for commission calculation on a timely basis, working with Accounting to meet quarterly deadlines.
- Seeks to improve productivity and results daily.
- Follows all company safety rules and procedures.
- Completes other tasks assigned by Management.
- Additional travel may be required to emerging markets to respond to storm events.
- Degree from an accredited 4‑year college or university in business, marketing or related field, or high school degree with significant sales and industry experience.
- 3–5 years of selling experience in home building, remodeling or renovation markets.
- Strong selling skills including active listening, needs determination, solution presentation, objection handling and closing.
- Understanding and ability to work with contracts for construction services or financing.
- Knowledge of home insurance and claim processing.
- Strong 4‑function math skills.
- Computer skills using a service‑oriented CRM with mobile access.
- Excellent customer service, calm communication with customers, staff and vendors.
- Perseverance to pursue solutions when stakeholders are uncooperative.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi‑task, prioritize and adapt quickly.
- Valid driver’s license with no DUIs or restrictions.
- Reliable, insured personal vehicle.
- Personal traits: honesty, integrity, accuracy, high standards, fairness, good listening and time‑management skills.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills focused on quantitative methods.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing sale, provision and invoicing of construction services.
