Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring for a Manufacturing Fleet Engineer for a temporary assignment in Georgetown, KY. This is a 5‑month contract position. The pay range for this role is between $45.00/hr – $55.00/hr benefits:

• Responsible for supporting enterprise‑wide automation efforts for internal logistics processes and materials movement within complex manufacturing environments.
• Assist local teams with implementing several different robotics technologies and building standard process documentation and procedures.
• Own, maintain, and provide integration of autonomous vehicle products into existing IT infrastructure; establish communication between COTS products and internal systems.
• Provide level‑1 support, assist IT teams in troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with robot deployments at the networking and infrastructure layers.

• Attend Solution Architecture Design (SAD) meetings and assist with facilitating design and build for all pre‑requisites, hardware, software, networking, file share, and communication protocols to allow manufacturing robots to integrate with line‑side manufacturing systems and data center assets and cloud platform.
• Commission and integrate autonomous vehicle systems at manufacturing facilities throughout North America.
• Coordinate with enterprise networking and WINTEL / server administrators’ group to identify root cause and deploy countermeasures.
• Support Windows Server 2022, Ubuntu 24/25.x, RHEL 10.x.
• Manage tier‑3 escalations from the implementation and support teams focusing on robotics or industrial automation experience, including familiarity with PLCs, industrial robotics, and industrial communication protocols.

• 5+ years of overall experience with networking and OS/Linux.
• Experience in the automation industry as an engineer, technologist, and/or project manager, technically delivering on projects.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux, Docker, and Bash.
• Proficient understanding of the OSI layer, TCP/IP protocols and their use‑cases.
• Proficient in navigating IT interoperability issues and driving them to resolution.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows Server 2022, Ubuntu 24/25.x, RHEL 10.x.
• Experience with virtual infrastructure such as VMware vSphere technologies.

• Experience with a minimum of two platforms: PLCs (Allen Bradley, Toyopuc, Omron), HMI Programming (Factory Talk, Screenworks), autonomous vehicle technologies (MIR, Autoguide, Omron, JBT, Creform, OTTO).
• Experience with Toyopuc is an asset.
• Knowledgeable regarding automotive industry or manufacturing processes.
