Overview
Controls Engineer role at Toyota North America. Reporting to the Controls Manager, this position focuses on implementation of production networking systems, collaboration across multiple groups to meet model project milestones while maintaining current production models, and developing technical expertise to continuously improve the team’s capabilities.
What You’ll Be Doing- Implementation of Controls, Applications and Health systems in North America Body Weld shops, collaborating with multiple internal teams and external vendors to meet business needs.
- Project management including scheduling, budgeting and executing projects.
- Collaboration with internal innovation teams to support project initiatives.
- Staying up to date on industry best practices and advancements in industrial controls, applications and Health systems.
- Authoring standards, procedures, technical memos, and manuals.
- Collaborating cross-functionally across NAMCs and external partners to solve problems and accomplish goals.
- Presentations to peers and executive management.
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Industrial Engineering, Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 2-10 years of experience
- Project management experience
- Experience in deploying industrial network connected devices
- Experience in application server setup and configuration
- Experience in database operations
- Experience programming PLCs – open to any like Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc. ALLEN BRADLEY IS PREFERRED.
- Experience with data collection protocols
- Experience with SCADA software
- Experience in 1 of the following – Industrial controls, Application development, Monitoring equipment health
- Ability/willingness to work weekends, holiday periods, and shutdown periods to support modifications and installation projects, up to 30%
- Ability to work overtime to achieve targets and complete projects on schedule, up to 30%
- Body Weld experience
- Knowledgeable in multiple programming languages (e.g. Python, , BCL, SQL)
- Knowledgeable with data analytics software (e.g. Power
BI, Tableau) - Experience with Industrial controls
- Experience with Application development
- Experience with Monitoring equipment health
- Work Authorization:
Green Card, US Citizen - Preferred years of experience: 0 years
- Travel required:
25% or less - Shift timings: 9 AM to 5 PM
