Who We’re Looking ForToyota’s Environmental & Facilities Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and implement renewal strategy (with focus on meeting 2050 initiatives) for facilities systems.
Reporting to the Manager of Systems & Standards, the person in this role will support the Environmental & Facilities department’s objective to provide efficient / reliable infrastructure and utilities across all pillars in North America.
What You’ll Be Doing- Lead renewal activities (equipment assessment through justification) of facility equipment.
- Support utility capacity analysis and report status for future projects.
- Collaborate with North American sites to identify equipment kaizen opportunities.
- Investigate customer feedback concerns and lead root cause analysis.
- Support maintenance and contingency plans for facility equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering or a relevant engineering degree.
- At least 2 years of experience in maintenance, operation and installation of HVAC, Cooling Towers, Chillers, Air Compressors and other facility equipment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, kaizen and countermeasure development experience.
- Strong data analysis skill set.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work up to 20% overtime when required.
- Ability to travel up to 20% when required.
- Experience with Maximo or other CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Automotive manufacturing facilities experience.
- Professional Organization
Certifications:
Certified Facilities Manager (CFM), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and/or Facilities Management Professional (FMP). - Experience with Word, Visio, and Project.
