Who We’re Looking For
Toyota’s Final Assembly Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated
- The primary responsibility of this role is to support our digital manufacturing, focusing on the use of digital tools to improve the manufacturing preparation for new model introduction. This role will be required to utilize digital tools such as FEA, Navisworks, Inventor, Catia, Terrace, 3D printing, 3D scanning, digital environment creation with simulations.
- Reporting to the Final Assembly Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Final Assembly’s department's objectives for digital manufacturing at TMMK.
Toyota’s Final Assembly Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated CAD Technician to support our digital manufacturing focus.
- The primary responsibility of this role is to support our digital manufacturing, focusing on the use of digital tools to improve the manufacturing preparation for new model introduction. This role will be required to utilize digital tools such as FEA, Navisworks, Inventor, Catia, Terrace, 3D printing, 3D scanning, digital environment creation with simulations.
- Reporting to the Final Assembly Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Final Assembly’s department's objectives for digital manufacturing at TMMK.
- What you’ll be doing:
- (30%) Project Planning support for upcoming model changes/Plant introduction
- (30%) Standardize layouts/designs for future models
- (30%) 3D studies, simulations, FEA, 3D Assembly management
- (10%) New Technology investigations/Special Projects and proof of concepts
- Close collaboration between both internal and external groups across Toyota
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Engineering Tech, computer Integrated Technology, or CAD degree
- Proficient in Autocad, and Catia/Solidworks/Inventor
- Proficient in GD&T (geometric dimensioning tolerancing)
- Strong understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology
- 3D printing background, personal or professional
- 3D scanning fluency – understanding of 3D scanning technologies
- MS Office;
Excel and PowerPoint proficiency - Ability to travel up to 10% to all NAM’s as well as Japan/Canada/Mexico
- Ability to work up to 20% overtime
- This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position
- This position will require support for equipment installation and start up for both Summer and Winder Shutdown periods including potential to support 2nd shift activities; candidate must be able to meet these schedules as required
- Co-op experience with Toyota
- Experience in new model launch preparations.
- Vehicle SE Experience.
- FEA certifications.
- AutoCAD certifications.
- 3D modeling or simulation certifications.
Work Authorization : Green Card, US Citizen

Travel required : 25% or less
Shift timings : 9 AM to 5 PM Seniority level
