Job Overview
Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is hiring a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for a temporary assignment in Georgetown, KY. This is a 12‑month contract position. Pay range: $45/hr – $60/hr benefits:
Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.
As part of Toyota North America’s TMNA Plant Engineering Advanced Planning & Innovation team, you will support the mission of providing facility infrastructure to enable battery manufacturing and on‑site suppliers to produce high‑quality products in a safe and regulatory‑compliant environment.
What You’ll Be Doing- Offer technical support for early project planning, focusing on industrial building mechanical system design and pre‑construction analysis.
- Conduct studies on innovative technical design and implementation procedures, including cost and schedule impacts.
- Research and benchmark industry trends to enhance building design and installation, supporting quality, cost, schedule, and safety goals.
- Develop and support project justifications, business cases, and management presentations.
- Provide technical expertise throughout the planning, design, and construction phases, including cross‑department collaboration.
- B.S. (or higher) in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or similar) or 5+ years of hands‑on building mechanical system experience.
- 5+ years of experience in building design, construction, and/or operation/maintenance.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial building mechanical systems (HVAC, process piping, chilled water, compressed air, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, etc.).
- 3+ years of reporting and presentation skills, including intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).
- Professional Engineering (PE) license (optional).
- Experience in industrial control or automation systems (e.g., Energy/Building Management Systems, fire alarm systems, SCADA).
- Experience in industrial building chemical systems (waste water, tank farms, etc.).
- Experience in cross‑departmental collaboration.
- Experience with Power BI, Bluebeam Revu, Navisworks, and/or AutoCAD.
- Industry-related certifications (ASHRAE, CEM, LEED AP, PMP, etc.).
- Problem‑solving skills and a desire to improve/kaizen.
- Work Authorization:
Green Card, US Citizen. - Preferred years of experience: 5 years.
- Travel required:
25% or less. - Shift timings: 9 AM to 5 PM.
