Nursing Assistant SRNA or CNA in Hospital - PRN

Georgetown Community Hospital a 12 minute drive from Lexington, KY is searching for anSRNA or CNA to join our Medical/Surgical Unit. This is a PRN opportunity andyou would be a member of a highly skilled team of Acute Care nurses,physicians, and other technicians. Your High School Diploma or GED,current SRNA or CNA license, and current BLS certification are the minimum requirements.

Onthe Med Surg unit you will encounter patients of all ages. Interestingly, our patients in this unitrequire widely ranging services and focus.

This is an excellent opportunity for you as an SRNA or CNA to be exposedto a variety of healthcare concerns in a fast paced hospital floor.

• Assists professional nursing personnel in providing patient care in assigned areas; patients may include newborn,pediatric, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Recognizes the needs of the patient
• Provides care in a manner that is age appropriate
• Takes and Records Vital Signs
• Provides Comfort Measures for the patient
• Completes tasks assigned under the direction ofa registered nurse
• Attends to the emotional needs of the supportsystem of the patient
• Performs clerical duties and serves as a receptionist for an assigned period of time
• Answering patient call system
• Attends staff meetings

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent, or mustacquire equivalent within 6 months of hire date
• SRNA State Registered Nurse Assistant or CNACertified Nursing Assistant
• 3-6 months in a healthcare environment
• Proficient with use of patient monitoring equipment.
• Must have a good rapport with others and communicatein a pleasant, courteous, and tactful manner.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Weare conveniently located just 12 minutes from New Circle Road on the Lexingtonside of Georgetown. As a PRN Nursing Assistant you would pickup shifts with us as needed.
