Magnit Direct Sourcing is hiring an Engineer – Battery Pack Assembly for a temporary assignment in Georgetown, KY. This 12‑month contract position offers pay between $40‑$43 per hour and includes medical, dental, vision and 401(k) benefits.
What You’ll Be Doing- Support Battery Pack Assembly equipment development with site and global teams
- Develop equipment specifications for vendor fabrication
- Define and confirm equipment, conveyor, logistics, and team interactions
- Monitor and track equipment design, fabrication, and confirmation
- Lead installation planning and specifications for NA production sites
- Lead installation and confirmation at NA production sites
- Lead countermeasures during setup and production trials
- Travel to U.S., Canada, Mexico NAMCs and suppliers, including occasional overseas trips; willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering
- 2+ years experience with production equipment, procurement, installation and confirmation
- 0.5+ years experience with AutoCAD / Autodesk and ability to read, interpret and modify 2‑D drawings
- 0.5+ years experience with CATIA or equivalent 3‑D CAD software and ability to read, interpret and modify 3‑D drawings
- Proficiency with MS365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, multiple shifts and support tooling modification and installation projects including 25% overtime, 12‑hour shifts, weekend work and shutdown periods
- Ability and willingness to travel 50% domestically and internationally
- Experience with battery pack assembly processes
- Experience with assembly or body weld equipment procurement or confirmation
- TBP completion through panel
- OSHA 10 certification
- Robot experience for 3‑D automation
- DELMIA experience
