The Special Response Team (SRT) Registered Nurse role provides clinical support to clinical areas throughout all Central Kentucky LifePoint facilities with a high need for supplemental staffing. The SRT RN has the authority, responsibility, and shift accountability for the delivery of nursing care using the nursing process. The SRT RN collaborates with other healthcare professionals to apply competent clinical knowledge and skills to achieve quality care outcomes.
Nurses must be willing to work at all Central Kentucky LifePoint facilities and accept regular rotational assignments as determined by the Senior SRT Program Director.
- The SRT RN must agree to be available to work 72 hours in a bi-weekly pay period including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts and follow the scheduling requirements of the assigned Central Kentucky LifePoint facility.
- Call may be required when working Surgery or Women’s Services rotations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
- Current RN license in the state of Kentucky
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS within 30 days of hire
- NIHSS within 30 days of hire
- Handle with Care within 30 days of hire
- TNCC within 6 months of hire
- National Certification – Required within 6 months of hire or transfer
- NRP within 90 days of hire (WS)
- NIHSS (Stroke, ED)
Two years of nursing experience in one of the following specialty units:
- ICU
- Surgery
- Emergency
- Women's Services
