A Japanese trading company focusing on supply chain and inventory management functions at its Georgetown, KY location.

Essential Duties
  • Calculate material orders and manage supplier deliveries.
  • Control inventory by balancing customer demand and supplier schedules to avoid shortages or aged inventory.
  • Analyze data to proactively address potential supply‑chain issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Place sales orders and arrange timely deliveries, communicating closely with customers.
  • Determine pricing for parts using supplier quotes and standardized quotations, and create and manage sales and gross‑profit budgets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers through daily follow‑up.
  • Set up new parts in the database using customer specifications.
  • Coordinate just‑in‑time (JIT) deliveries with suppliers, transportation partners, and customers.
  • Assist with accounting and quality‑control issues as needed.
  • Attend and facilitate group meetings, effectively communicating with multiple stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in supply‑chain management, but not required).
  • 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in team settings.
  • Knowledge of flat‑roll metals (steel and aluminum) is a plus.
  • Proficient basic computer skills, including Microsoft software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interpret documents, write reports, and present to groups.
  • Mathematical skills to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Problem‑solving skills and the ability to handle situations with limited standardization.
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, and lift/move up to 20 pounds; travel may be required.
