Japanese Bilingual Assistant & Trade Sales Representative - Georgetown, KY

A Japanese Manufacturing company is currently seeking a full time, fully onsite Japanese Bilingual Assistant & Trade Sales Representative to join their Georgetown, KY location.

The role involves assisting sales representatives with new and ongoing projects, handling documentation, supporting import/export clearance, and ensuring smooth communication with vendors (including those in Japan). Travel within Kentucky and out-of-state (up to 25%) is required.

The pay for this position is 45k with great benefits.

Your Essential Duties
  • Create, input, and manage projects, POs, invoices, and related data using ERP (MS NAV).
  • Generate reports, logs, and documentation for sales processes.
  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
  • Prepare statements, advance request forms, correspondence, memos, and letters (in English and Japanese).
  • Assist in preparing scheduled reports and confirming quotes.
  • Support vendor/customer registration and assist sales reps with new projects (delivery, launch, reporting, data input, material readiness).
  • Support product changes, engineering changes, and product closeouts.
  • Assist in generating bids, cost summaries, sales and forecast reports.
  • Support A/R and A/P reporting assigned to projects.
  • Assist with import/export clearance, including HS code assignment.
  • Track deadlines, monitor progress, and maintain project documentation.
  • Communicate with Japan vendors as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in management or related field
  • Minimum of 3 months’ relevant experience in a professional setting
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel formulas and functions)
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese (written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of engineering, business/account management, or manufacturing processes is a plus
  • Ability to travel and work on-site at customer locations
