Truck Driver CDL A Local

In Georgetown, KY, Ryder is hiring a Dedicated SOLO Class A CDL Driver to join our team.

Compensation & Benefits

• Weekly guaranteed pay: $1,280
• Solo Miles: $0.565 per mile on roughly 2,500 miles/week
• Solo Stops: $16.00 per stop (5‑15 stops per week)
• Drop & Hook: $7.50 per drop/hook
• Shutdown bonus: $2,000 paid in two installments
• Quarterly safety bonus: $250 if applicable
• Paid personal time off: 80 hours accrued first year, accrues daily thereafter
• Medical, dental, vision: start at 30 days

• Monday – Friday; some Saturdays
• Start time: open to bidding system for routes by seniority

Job Description

The driver is responsible for local home‑daily routes to Kentucky and Ohio, using a day cab tractor and dry‑van 53" swing‑door trailer. Freight is no‑touch auto parts. Strong backing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and safety standards.
• Detect, eliminate, or minimize safety hazards and maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load and unload freight; assist with loading/unloading as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum age 21 years.
• Valid Class A CDL with required endorsements.
• At least 9 months of relevant experience within the last 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Pass Ryder drug test, background and motor‑vehicle check, DOT physical, and Ryder road test.
• Pass drug and alcohol verification from prior employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
